In addition to body-oriented therapy and IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy), we now also offer equine-assisted coaching. This makes our range of services even more comprehensive, allowing us to provide the right kind of support for every need. We tailor every treatment to who you are, the challenges you’re facing, and what will best help you get back on track.
Why horse-assisted coaching?
Horses communicate without words. They instinctively sense what you’re feeling and respond honestly to your attitude, behavior, and emotions. According to polyvagal theory, horses are also particularly sensitive to signals of safety and tension in our nervous system. They don’t react to what you say, but to what you project. As a result, they hold up a mirror to you, so to speak—not to judge, but to make you aware of patterns you may not yet see in yourself.
By nature, horses help regulate stress and encourage relaxation, trust, and connection. It is precisely this combination that makes equine-assisted coaching so valuable. You not only gain new insights, but you also truly feel them.
Which type of horse-assisted coaching is right for you?
Coaching near the horse or with the horse? These terms are often used interchangeably, but there is an important difference.
Horse-assisted coaching
In equine-assisted coaching, the emphasis is on slowing down, feeling, and becoming more aware. You don’t have to actively work with the horse. Simply by being present or observing what the horse is doing, surprising insights often emerge. The horse reflects what’s going on in your inner world, and the coach helps you translate these insights into your daily life.
Coaching with Horses
In equine-assisted coaching, you take an active role. Together with the horse, you perform various exercises, such as leading, establishing contact, or setting boundaries. The horse responds immediately to your communication style, body language, and energy. This gives you honest and direct feedback and allows you to experience what works and what doesn’t. You learn by doing, experiencing, and discovering.
Both approaches are valuable and can bring about significant change. Which one suits you best depends on your specific needs and what you’re looking for right now. Sometimes it helps to literally get moving; other times, the greatest change comes from simply standing still.
